Waiting is the Hardest Part!
Dear Krissy,
I had to have my big toenail removed recently because of an ingrown nail problem. I love to wear open-toed shoes, so I am eagerly awaiting a new nail. Some people say it will grow back, but others say that it won't. What do you think?

Good News!! Most people that I have worked on that have had their nail removed have usually had theirs grow back within time. But as the old proverb goes, "patience is a virtue," so please understand that it will typically take one full year for a big toenail to grow back completely.
